No referral is needed to book a standard physiotherapy appointment. You can book directly online or by email. However, if you are accessing physiotherapy under a Medicare Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) plan, a GP referral is required.

Can I use Medicare for physiotherapy?

Accepted Answer

Yes, if you have a chronic condition and a GP Management Plan, your GP can refer you for up to 5 allied health sessions per calendar year under Medicare.

Can I see a physiotherapist for a WorkCover injury?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Dalton Physiotherapy is an accredited WorkCover NSW and icare provider. You will need a WorkCover certificate of capacity from your GP and your claim number before your first appointment.
